Here's what I did before Weasels exist. existed.

The greatest pirate rock band of all time. I myself am no longer active in performing with the band, but that certainly doesn't diminish the multitude of reasons to rock out to the saltiest sounds to ever melt your face. It's like scurvy for boredom and rum fer yer ears.

If "Fire and Brimstone" was not an acceptable musical genre before, it is now. "Jazzy New Orleans Voodoo Devil Blues" also works. I've been known to play hired accordion gun with these gentlemen.

This is a page dedicated to the recordings of myself and the one and only David F. Gale that were birthed in a motel room in Mojave the night before we got stranded in the mountains. Click the photo to hear the music and click here to read the full story.

The brainchild of Charles DeQuepin (of King Washington) and I. Our aim is to be as deformed as possible, and to deform the populous to an equal and appropriate degree.

Young Animals is the musical spearhead of Spencer Rollins. If you asked me, I would tell you he reminds me of a young Leonard Cohen mixed with old country singers like Townes Van Zandt and Hank Williams.

Rollicking bluegrass punk rock. Think Flogging Molly drunk on Pabst Blue Ribbon instead of Guinness.

The Bird Circus Orchestra is the grand vision of Jack Crow, circus performer, aerial rigger, and one of the truest vagabond minstrels I've ever known. We only got to work together for a short time before he moved off to New York.

...you should listen. Here are some friends and artists that we love.

Everyone that exists should listen to Jason Webley. He is a brilliant and beautiful man with angels and demons inside his accordion and a weasel under his hat.

The ballsiest goddamn heroes the world has ever seen. And probably the most insane and enjoyable live performance you will ever experience.

Thee Hobo Gobbelins from Oakland, CA play wonderfully intoxicating tunes on instruments of madness, with songs about good old fashioned pastimes like drinking and eating brains.

Spawned from a nightmare. Epic, giant sound - imagine if Mike Patton joined Oingo Boingo.

I caught The Reflectacles playing with a couple other friends one night. Instant favorite does not even begin to describe.

Di Nigunim from San Diego, CA play furious klezmer punk that simply must be experienced live.

Some of the finest chaps around. I've been friends with these guys for years, and they perform wonderfully catchy songs with tight harmonies and progressions. And their lead singer looks exactly like George Harrison.

Insects vs. Robots is one of the most versatile bands I've ever seen, and I never know quite what to experience when I see them live. It's anything from loud, psychedelic madness with two frenzied drummers hammering away on two separate kits, or mellow psychedelic soundscapes driven by sitar and hand drums.

You'd rather have the devil as a buddy than an enemy, wouldn't you? Brilliant and beautiful murder folk ballads. I'm glad someone out there is picking up a banjo and singing about Jeffery Dahmer.

LA's very own Killsonic is louder than the voice of God. I've never seen them perform with less than 20 musicians on stage. In rather equal proportion, this chaos jazz marching band is comprised of horns, accordions, and gigantic drums.

Good ol' bluesy rockabilly tunes. If I had to drive across multiple state lines, I wouldn't leave home without 'em.

GRIT plays amazingly raw americana folk punk. And some of the nicest fellas I ever knew.

I'm ridiculously grateful to Jail Weddings for doing what they do with music. Jefferson Airplane meets Motown.

Cross-pollenated gypsy music for your enjoyment. All these folks are involved with a lot of other interesting projects, too.

If you were wondering where the energy of the likes of Joan Baez and Janis Joplin went, I advise you to listen to DeCelis.

The lovely Spring Queen will delight you with her beautiful and ethereal voice and musical sensibilities.

Pirate folk rock from San Diego.

The Atma is sadly no more - all its members have gone off in their own separate directions after years of making music together.

These bay area underground hip hop cats are a great bunch of folks. They've helped me out a lot up north.

The Broads is a one-man operation from the northern forests of madness. Twisted Appalachian folk tales delivered in one of the more intense live shows I've had the pleasure to witness.

Nick Vandenberg and I played in Young Animals together for a short time. He's a wonderfully gifted songwriter now residing on the East coast.

One of the many musical ventures of my friend Tony Barkodarian. He's the singer in a band called Odessa, and as Ailment, he produces some pretty insane drum n' bass in crazy time signatures. This is his live action psychedelic noise experiment.

A beautiful and inspiring human being who writes beautiful and inspiring music.
